Give a MediWear

Not sure what to engrave? Let her choose.

Give her the pendant now, with a gift card and a code. She chooses the words for the back in her own time: her name, a condition, who to call. We engrave it in London and post it to her.

  • Same price as engraved
  • Gift card by email, straight away
  • The code never expires

Beside the photo, an example of the gift card: “A MediWear pendant is waiting for you”, with the pendant’s name and a code.

How it works

You give the pendant. She gives it the words. Nothing is engraved until she’s happy with them.

  1. You choose the pendant

Pick the one she’d wear and choose Let them choose the words. It costs the same as an engraved pendant, with free tracked delivery.

  2. We email you a gift card

As soon as you’ve paid. It has her code and a QR code. Print it to go in a card, or simply forward the email to her.

  3. She chooses the words

At mediwear.co.uk/claim, she types what she wants on the back and sees it in 3D. We read every word, engrave it in London and post it to her.

Choose the one she’ll actually wear

Each one is jewellery first, with a white enamel front and the medical symbol a paramedic looks for. On each page, Let them choose the words is already chosen for you.

What she receives

A gift card that says what’s waiting for her, with her own code.

  • Print it at home. An A5 card with her code, a QR code and three lines on what to do. It fits in a birthday or Mother’s Day card.
  • Or forward the email. It has the same code and a button to choose the words.
  • Add your own words to the card. Who it’s from, and a short message, before you print.

Ordering close to the day? The gift card comes by email the moment you’ve paid, so it’s ready to give on the day.

Why let her choose

Her words, her say

She decides what a stranger should know, and gives us her own permission to use her health details. You don’t need her NHS number or her medicines.

No deadline

The code never expires. If it hasn’t been used after two weeks, we’ll send you one gentle reminder, and one more at six weeks. That’s all.

Nothing made until she’s chosen

So until she’s chosen the words, the usual 14-day right to cancel applies. Gift terms

Help by phone

She can call us on 020 7183 0355 and tell us the words instead. We’ll read them back to her.

A person to help

She can email hello@mediwear.co.uk with any question about the words, and a person will reply.

Questions

Where is it posted?

At checkout you give a delivery address: hers, or yours if you’d rather give it by hand. When she chooses the words, she sees that address and can confirm it or change it to any UK address. Delivery is free and tracked.

When will it arrive?

The gift card arrives by email straight away. Once she’s chosen the words, we read them and post the pendant the next working day after we have checked your engraving. Tracked delivery then usually takes 2 to 4 days.

What if she doesn’t get round to it?

There’s no rush, and the code doesn’t expire. If it hasn’t been used after two weeks we’ll remind you, and again at six weeks, then we leave it with you. You’re welcome to call or email us at any time to talk it through.

Does she need her NHS number?

No, it’s optional, but we recommend it. In England it lets an ambulance crew look up her medicines and allergies. It’s in the NHS App, on repeat prescription slips and on GP letters. How to find an NHS number.

Can I still choose the words myself?

Yes. On any pendant page, choose Engraved instead and type the words in. Ideas for what to put.

Can I add a handwritten card in the box?

Yes. Add a message at checkout and we’ll write it on a card and put it in the box with her pendant.
